One-time move of default (0) team points to a real team

Is there a way, and If there is not, why not, to be able to reassign all of your default scores to a real team. This, if kept cleanly, could reduce overhead of maintaining multiple buckets per user, per project etc. It would be only be a one time reassignment after you figure out who's group you want to get involved with. Team changes after that would rightly not follow points since the work was performed as part of the former team's spirit.
I think also that if there were a method to liberate the default points to a real team, it would would spur on even more competition. How about it?

The project policy is that a WU is credited to a couple Username/Teamnumber once and for all and it can't be altered after it has been added to the stats.
This applies to all team (and default team 0 is considered as a team like any other team).

I have to admit that I agree with the current policy: Points once assigned to a team should not ever change to another team. It really produces a lot of hand manipulation of the points database if team moving would be allowed. There are literally millions of individuals and even if only 1% wanted to change their team and even if it took 5 minutes each it would still occupy thousands of hours for someone to do.
Further it could produce poor ethics with the potential of teams buying and individuals selling points or individuals holding their teams hostage saying do this or I'll just move my points elsewhere.
Moving points from team to team (even the anonymous team) is just not a good thing to do.
