Hello everybody,
from some time I've problems sending unit to server ... any suggestion ?
Core is 5.03 ... something may change with newer core ?

Couldn't send HTTP request to server (wininet)

suggests that you may have selected the "Use IE settings" in the connections options which is known to cause issues when connecting, as it is dependent on what Windows updates have been applied. Try disabling this via the Settings panel and restart your client.

I see a problem with the servers for WU 0. Let me see if I can get it fixed.

I'm not sure about the other server but I'll check on it at the same time.

I recommend using your browser rather than ping. In most cases they'll give the same results, but when they're different, http is better than ping.

To provide a bit more information, would you download and run "qd" and post the output. It's a text-based program found in our 3rd party forum, so you'll need to download it into your folding directory, open a text window, change to that directory, and type the program name, capturing the output so it can be posted.

One of the symptoms of USE IE SETTINGS = YES is that the work unit is sent to Stanford, but the acknowledgement never gets back to the client. So the upload is completed, but the client doesn't know that so the client keeps trying to upload that WU.

I can't be sure, but a forum Mod or Admin might be able to check on that for you.

@ 7im: I'm quite new in forum and I don't know if someone can verify if a unit has been uploaded or not.

@ toTOW: you think that could be due to a change in UserId ?
also unit 09 that has been completed in these days and has never been sent .. "Error: Could not transmit unit 09 (completed July 8) to work server."

The problem is that if I'm not able to transmit units, it's useless running the program ...
The strange thing is that I've same problem in 2 PCs ... at home and at work ...

If the User ID of the machine uploading the result is different than the User ID of the machine that the WU was originall assigned to, some servers will reject the WU. Moving WUs from one machine to another is not supported by FAH. If you must move WUs around, be sure to follow the instructions for sneakernetting very carefully. http://fahwiki.net/index.php/Sneakernetting If you're already managing the UserID per those instructions and it still doesn't work, FAH may have added some new security validations that are rejecting the WUs. Those instructions were developed by users using Version 3 and they've worked up until now.

[I presume you understand that UserName can change. It's not the same thing as UserID.]

Sorry but I don't understand ..
I'm just running F@H on 2 computers, one at home and the other at work, but the 2 PCs are not connected in any way ... and I don't want move units from one to the other (also I don't know how I can do it and why I should).
I'm using the same user name on both PCs, this can be a problem ?
