Both.

Neither.
J/k. Both. GPU2 on an Nvidia card barely uses the CPU. An 8400 GS won't get great PPD, but every piece of hardware helps the project.

Be careful, you'll probably have to fold 24/7 to be able to make the deadlines ...
If you can't (or don't want to), stick to two uniprocessor clients.

Ok, so the real answer is: It depends . . . .

A sense of humor from a Site Admin?
I have
never experienced that other than in private correspondences with the above.
IMHO, there should be some sort of (at least general) guidelines in a thread in this (now huge and barely manageable) forum that contains some sort of "optimization" information (and is updated as needed).
I guess that it simply depends........

With SMP he should make the deadlines on a dual core at 2.7, but yes would have to fold near enough 24/7 to do it.
A GF 8400 probably isnt worth running, but if you can afford to run it then do so, i personally wouldnt.

I will add to this question here. I have an E8400 with 4GB ram and a 9600GT Nvidia. I am currently using the GPU systray client and have been wondering lately if I could run more than one client (like GPU and SMP)
The computer doesn't get used for gaming or anything like it and is mostly left on 24/7.
I have Server 2008 64bit and also a Win 7 install plus Ubuntu. So, would it be useful for ME to run the SMP AND the Gpu client?

Yes. The Linux SMP client will run faster (it uses a different core than the Win SMP client), so you can try that route.

Get the virtual appliance @
http://reilly.homeip.net/folding/ and run it under VMware Player. Make sure you put your name and team.
