whats the story behind 2605

what is this 2605, and why am I getting so many? Just curious, some Wu's I will get one or two in a series, then never see any more.
To date I have completed 303 "2605's" Is this a "generic number cruncher" applicable to many projects?

2605 is one of our membrane projects dealing with influenza. It's a big calculation, and we recently added to it. It's one of the SMP workhorses. Some of the projects have relatively short half-lives--we have a more limited goal and we often want it more quickly. 2605 takes quite a while to get the answers we want, although we're pretty close. I'm actually hoping to get some interesting analyses from it for a conference next week, although we'll continue to get useful results from it for a while yet...
