I didn't say that you're violating a policy. Do you avoid doing a bad thing only when there's a law against it and you might get arrested, or does your conscience influence your behavior, too? Making sub-prime loans to prospective home-buyers who could not afford them probably didn't violate any laws but it turned out to be really bad for some of those home-buyers and for our nation's economy.

We're not talking about anything that serious, but all I'm asking for a "reasonable" consideration of the concepts and risks involved. I expect you to read both what Dr. Pande said and what I said and understand it and act accordingly.

As far as encouraging participation in beta testing, I'm the one who is doing it and you're welcome to do that too, if you choose -- but publishing "leaked" information is not a good idea unless you have a way to verify that the development team and the support team are ready to stand behind the information being distributed and in this case, they are not.

Dr. Pande did say that there's a reason that the clients in question were not available from published links on the download page. I think his stated request should carry some weight here.

8400GS now downed for good. The power usage was not worth the wait for compatible work and was actually affecting the CPU handling of the faster GPU still running and reducing its output noticeably.I only really noticed this once the 8400 was removed and I looked over the ensuing production figures.
If this was a lone 8400 as a system card then maybe worth waiting for occasional work , but not now in my case- as a second [& now much lower level] add on.
