I might need some help getting around the the links a bit? It seems that I may have to get through a Ukraine log-in of some kind to (perhaps the team forum?) to download the affinity changer?
My language skills will not allow me to get any further? Is there assistance with the links, please

Yesterday they seemed to be in a hurry, but I guess it's always like that with stuff you can't get a hold of when you want it. Now running VMware seems to be on their minds instead. Thanks for the links though.

I am a bit confused about how to use the SMP Affinity Changer so let me see if I understand it correctly; when you are using the SMP Affinity Changer one SMP client should be used for every 2 cores right?

Correct:
- 1 SMP-client = four FAH_cores [on a Quad core (four cores) there is no need for the change of affinity]
- 2 SMP-clients = eight FAH_cores [on a Quad core(four cores) there is a need for the change of affinity]
- 1 SMP-client = four FAH_cores [on a Dual core (two cores) there is a need for the change of affinity]

I have a folder on my tem (PCPersective Folding Frogs 734) that is looking to put together a dual quad core harpertown xeon system for folding. Will AC work with 8 total cores at all or is it limited to 4 cores? Would he be able to run 4 SMP clients? Anyone tried this yet?
TIA

EDIT: no it does not work with dual quads
A-Ch detects number of cpu and does assignments only if finds 2 or 4 cpus

Hi Guys
Can someone make the need of this affinity changer stupidly simple for me please?
I'm now on an Asus Intel Q6600 box running two instances of F@H.
Will affinity changer be of any use, or not?
Thank you.
