just forget to "reload" the loader as suggested in the updated guide;

it is now "supported". should i still remove the package as suggested and install ocl-icd-dev instead?
If it folds without failing WUs, leave it be :) However if it fails straight away, then remove and install ocl-icd

Is there a way to get the newly released client to detect and enable the card on startup without the need to restart the client first?

Running the latest Linux Mint and I have followed the guide here on the forum and use the latest ROCm 7.1.1

sudo systemctl restart fah-client is the solution for now, unfortunately. It was fixed briefly, but got broken in one of the test builds. Hopefully we will get that thing fixed soon enough. By the way, this thread have been superseded by this: viewtopic.php?t=43222
Not that it will help with the issue at hand
