He did mention a while ago that using the JSON interface was on his to do list, but he has other priorities these days - namely family so I'm not sure how soon it will be done. As for contacting him he is a member over on the overclockers forums - maybe try a post there

I posted in the hfm google group. Hopefully harlam follows that

Harlam is aware of the issue, he said no promises on when but he will fix/update as time permits. So thats good news!

Once you work out the structures, having the summaryC page open in a browser and the projectinfo.tab file open in an editor, it's pretty straightforward to add any that HFM can't handle.

I use 0.93 rev 718. Recently it ceased seing my local client (7.44 localhost:49474). It seems connections are being tried but no procject name no user name is shown.
Any suggestions?

Is 127.0.0.1 still listed in FAHControl for No password and password IP access in the Remote Access tab?

Yes, FAHControl works completely correct

The screenshot of HFM is showing a v6 client running a no longer existing P2671. How that relates to your question is unclear.
Are you using the default port 36330 and is the client running? If the client is running and you see that port when you right click on the entry in HFM and select edit then I suggest a reboot of the system you're trying to monitor in case the communications is confused.
If you press F7 in HFM what is the log telling you?
Also, try using either the computer name or it's i.p. address instead of localhost.

I accidentally captured
first page top of the topic. Actual HFM.HET main window part is shown on the bottom. Sorry for directing you wrong way.
I use 49474 port as command port in the client.
If the client is running and you see that port when you right click on the entry in HFM and select edit then I suggest a reboot of the system you're trying to monitor in case the communications is confused.
I see all slots and client type that means connection most likely is OK. Reboot and firewall disable didn't change the situation. Didn't find any suspicious in log

toTOW wrote:Hi harlam, are you still alive ?
I heard that Google Code where you host your project is closing ... do you have a backup plan for HFM (like moving to GitHub) ?
There is a simple export to github option on the google code page, I recently became a fan of this software now that im pulling about 2.2 mill ppd across a few different usernames. I think this was all created with basic open source license as far as I can tell, so anyone who wants to host it on github, or make a fork of this one, that should be alright.
I concur on the kudos to harlem for putting this together. I have a friend that made something just as fancy (if not more) with java. Its pretty bare bones but very up to date and has a few less issues with stats fetching then HFM. I'll ask him about adding that java code to a github. It would need a bit of work to make it post web pages but the core code is rock solid. Not nearly as much time went into it as HFM.
Github link made to preserve HFM on speculation of google code project closing. Will back up the binaries there soon - soonish - sometime - end of time
https://github.com/cygnusxi/hfm-net
Fork copy or clone away, its on github.
Edit, I should clarify the java code I was referring to is very bare bones, and mainly just the core to adding the many features harlam has built into HFM. It would take a little time to spruce that java code up but i can give my friend a kick in the pants if demand for an updated java version of this should arise.

Hmmm. Are there a a significantly larger number of Java programmers who would contribute to that version than C++ programmers (or whatever Harlam used when he wrote HFM) who would contribute to that version?
Getting all the nice features into BOTH versions seems like a wasted effort.

Wouldn't it be much easier all round if PG just fixed the psummary pages?
As a public-facing page (even one of limited interest) it's not a very good advert.

Have you asked about this on reddit? That's the way to contact the Pande Group.
I'm not responsible for priorities, I can only give you my personal interpretations.
html files are meant to be visually appealing and man-readable but not parsed. I can still read all the important data in spite of the errors. A JSON data file can be downloaded and parsed by 3rd party software. This probably relegates the bug to being a "cosmetic" change (at a low priority), though if the errors appear in the JSON file that's another matter.

That's the best laugh I've had all week.
bruce wrote:A JSON data file can be downloaded and parsed by 3rd party software.
The JSON file is comparatively new, a less high-handed approach from PG would have allowed a reasonable transition period to allow 3rd parties to make the necessary changes and, during that period, not break the HTML.
