Hello,

I submit an idea that i've just had, about fahmon.

In EM3 it was possible to see how many WU's was waiting in queue. It would be usefull to know this information in the software and in the .html monitoring generated page.

Have a nice day ;)

A suggestion : Could you add a counter of WU in the benchmark page to indicate how much each box have done of a certain project # ?

ok so i just got GPU folding underway. i installed it from the source. everything went great. then after like 5 mins it just shut off. fahmon would not load up after that. ive tried reinstalling it.

ive tried

Code: Select all

make clean
then

Code: Select all

./configure
make
sudo make install
same deal. nothing. how can i completely remove fahmon and start over?

running it from the terminal outputs this:

Code: Select all

icrum@MythTVBackend:~/fahmon/FahMon-2.3.2b$ fahmon

Your installation is just fine. There's a bug in the current version of FahMon that causes it to crash if you monitor a GPU2 client from Linux. I'm trying to track down the cause.

Merged with main FahMon thread.

This capability is already slated for a future release (most likely 2 releases away) along with PRCG tracking.

Ah, missed that so that's great to hear this. I cannot wait to see this in action :)

well how do i fix it so that i can still monitor the SMP client? it wont even load up now. i have a feeling that its still retaining some of the previous install. how do i completely remove it?

Open up ~/.fahmon/clientstab.txt and delete the line for your GPU2 client.

This looks like it might be the right place for this:

Could you please add the ability to reset the benchmark data on a per project basis? I've made some rather significant gains in PPD production by overclocking my GPU. I'd like to reset the benchmarks on the projects that were completed at 3500PPD to see what their current averages are.

In the meantime, how would I go about resetting them now?

Thanks

Suggestion - Is it possible to get an additional comment flag in the PPD column when the client is Paused? This is particularly for the GPU client, which my kids put on pause to play games, and even after half an hour, FahMon shows everything as being fine (green with no comments).

I've been getting constant FahMon crashes on my 2 systems. The last crash killed ~1.5 months of benchmark data since the program hadn't been closed in that long. It seems related to the GPU2 client?

Is there a way to monitor Notfreds running in a VMware player with Fahmon?
