debugging sudden low performance on RX5500

It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though AMD has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

Yes, it's being worked on ... and will be improved, but realistically, how many minutes of your folding time was lost because of this error? If FAH excluded the assignment of that WU to everybody who has configured 28 threads and it just assigned it to 27, how much extra folding would FAH earn?
