Since I was planning to dual boot from a different HDD anyway, I did a fresh install of 7 on the new drive.

Installed Zone Alarm free edition, version 10.1.056.000 as well as AVG Free, version 2012.0.1873

No issues receiving/uploading finished work.

Out of curiosity, do you have MPI installed on your machine? This fresh install of mine does not have it as it's no longer required, and the cores did not ask for access.

The previous install included MPI and the cores did ask for access.

What are the firewall permissions for the cores? Do they have trusted only, or both trusted & internet?

Cores do not need special firewall permissions (unless you run MPI). Clients do.

Interestingly enough, core permissions turned out to be completely irrelevant running 6.34, at least on my machine w/MPI installed.

This is what happened after I completely blocked A3 from all access, both local & Internet.

No issues even though the core is blocked. I have not been able to recreate the issues Vgolfmaster is having with ZA free, version 9 or 10.

At this point it seems either that install of ZA is broken or the cause lies elsewhere.

Here is yet another thread with the exact same ZA issue, seems that I am not alone.....

viewtopic.php?f=18&t=18527&start=45

So here is where I am at with this. I uninstalled ZA a while back and tried a CA suite available from my provider. This has been since my initial issues with sending wu's. CA allowed both clients to send with no issues. Uninstalled CA, rebooted, and reinstalled ZA. For the first week or so, it also allowed them to send with no issues. Curious. Now a week or so after the 2nd installation of ZA, it is now doing the same thing. No other machine on my network has issues sending, it is only this machine running ZA. Here is an example of this, from a short time ago.

With ZA running:

note: the servers referenced here are active and show no errors.

Then, shortly after this, I closed ZA and restarted the client:

Unfortunately, the successful upload did not reference a server i.p. for comparison.
