Re: GPU3 Client ATI Question.
I am sorry if this has been covered elseware but I haven't seen it covered. Is there any indication that Crossfire will be supported with GPU3. I know it's easy enough to disable it and run an instance per core, but I'd like to see the day where we can run the client once and it "just works" with whatever is available. I happen to own one of the sapphire 4850x2 cards and if it was supported i should would try to find another.

Re: GPU3 Client ATI Question.
Hello ewilliams28, welcome to the forum. Everything about the GPU3 client is conjecture at this point. Initial testing is still MANY months away, as far as anyone can guess.
And if I had to guess, the new client wont' change this requirement because in the end it still has to operate with in the same physical realms of the card. Same drivers, same hardware, just accessed from a higher level of software. But again, your guess is as good as mine.

Re: GPU3 Client ATI Question.
Not long ago, the current GPU code did not work when crossfire was enabled. I understand that the issue has been corrected, and now you can leave crossfire enabled but you have to run separate clients to keep both GPUs busy. With that improvement, it's not likely that GPU3 will be any different -- but as 7im said, it's all just speculation, at this point.
Those developing code for the "Open" initiative have reportedly planned to support multiple sources of processing power, but I don't know enough about how that might work to even speculate.
