Re: List of SMP WUs with the "1 core usage" issue
I've just received some information I can share with you about this issue.
The news are quite good : Peter Kasson is currently running a script server side that is repairing all trajectories affected by this issue. To make it simple, it's removing affected WUs (called "Gen N" WUs, that folded on 1 core/died with CoreStatus FF and that had a ~1.5 MB data file) and previous generation WUs (Gen N-1) that produced these erroneous WU. With this script, we should be able to refold those Gen N-1 WUs and then Gen N WUs and thanks to core 2.10 fixes, they should fold fine and keep the trajectories running.
Project 2677 has been cleared and Peter Kasson has a script currently working on Project 2671. Unfortunately, this process is not entirely automated and it doesn't automatically regenerate new WUs. This might cause a temporary shortage of A2 WUs until the rebuild process is completed.
Don't be surprised if you fold some A1 WUs or if you have trouble getting work while the rebuild process is running.

Re: List of SMP WUs with the "1 core usage" issue
Terrific news!
Two WUs have been hanging 2 of my folders multiple times today with this problem:
Project: 2671 (Run 37, Clone 79, Gen 79)
Project: 2671 (Run 51, Clone 50, Gen 89)
Greg, looking forward to uninterrupted 24/7 folding again

Re: List of SMP WUs with the "1 core usage" issue
I'm not seeing anything there that addresses the much increased frame times experienced and reported by so many. Anything on that?
Edit: ok, answered in another thread. Unsatisfactorily in the sense that there's no fix yet, but answered at least.

Re: List of SMP WUs with the "1 core usage" issue
Got my first A1 in a hurry, but at least it means that the server is really busy deleting those "1 core usage" wu's
I had my fare share of them.
Thank You Dr. Kasson. Your dedication, as always, is really appreciated

One more WU with CoreStatus = FF (255) :

Re: List of SMP WUs with the "1 core usage" issue
The repairing and rebuilding process of the SMP A2 WUs affected by folding on 1 core bug is now completed.
Simulations of the affected trajectories should now be possible and the number of “CoreStatus FF (255)” errors (sign of this bug since 2.10 core) that you might encounter would be drastically reduced.
About core 2.10 performances on dual core processors, you’ll have to get used to them. We hope that performances will be back to previous level in future core updates. My advice, if you can, is to replace your dual core VMs with native Linux or quad cores VM, waiting for better days.
