Well not entirely. If you purchased a heating pump you could save up to 75% of heating costs in the winter, and the computer doesn't have a thermostat so it's pretty inefficient. Plus what I mentioned about export.

I see there is a solar powered refrigerator now on the market - eco-cooling for the folding eco-farmers?! You'll have to google it I'm afraid, otherwise I'll get my wrists slapped for spamming.

My wife just bought a solar powered fountain for the flower garden. It's dreadfully under-powered (from the area, I'd guess it's maybe 1 Watt).
Has anybody used the solar powered attic fans that the DYI shops have started selling? It seems like a good idea, because attics need the most cooling when the sun is the brightest.
