That would also be ideal in a build proces. I'm happy to share the dockerfile and script I have for rpm, however sloppy yhat script is 😁
I think we ALL agree that we (as in FAH project) do not want users to start spinning up docker containers or environments just to be able to frikkin fold on their machines :D

I mean, if one wants to fold on fedora, one can build rpm on that fedora system. Why would anyone want to build rpm for fedora/suse on another machines, if they are not a FAH developer? The only reason might be: by mistake

Fully agree on that. Using buid containers in the release process would make it easy to offer the fahclient for other distros on the official fah page - low maintenance, low effort, virtually no costs, greatly appreciated by many. And it wouldn't depend on a volunteer, however well meant.

Yeah, there is another more complicated plan in the works. I have no issues building the packages, since I have all the popular distros on separate machines, but publishing it is another matter, since it needs to go through abomination which is github (I think, I have not read the requirements, yet, I just seen it on my notifications) :D
The main dev either has no time, or desire to set things up for different package publishing

The builds mostly are using AWS EC2 containers.
If the docker files are at all similar, please share your docker files.

I would also like to have docker files for my own build testing.

I tried a couple years ago using VMware with Ubuntu but something was broken.

I stopped trying because I didn’t actually need to build anything on Linux.
