On the other hand, I get around 100K PPD from using 4 CPU threads on my i7-7700K CPU at stock clocks. The Vega 8 does perform fairly well, for an iGPU.

The stock graphics clock on the 5700G is 2000Mhz, and it supports quicker memory standards. Him getting in the 80k range doesn't surprise me at all.iero wrote:80K on a Vega 8? Wow, i must have been doing something very wrong on my 2200g, cause that number sounds extremely high compared to my cpu. Jesus, ill have to retest the Ryzen 3 2200g one of these days.
The G series Ryzen chips do take a hit when folding on both CPU and GPU. Probably due to the way they use memory. On mine I've found that it's very inconsistent, and varies with the types of work units being folded. Occasionally folding on both CPU and GPU provides only a small increase in PPD total (10-15%) and often the GPU slot takes the points hit.Joe_H wrote:On the other hand, I get around 100K PPD from using 4 CPU threads on my i7-7700K CPU at stock clocks.
