I made a note of the shutdown policies from the client and will apply the same to windows power settings, they were fairly basic anyway. The only useful aspect of the utility was to find out really how much wattage load the system was drawing while under load and the amount of runtime left on the battery. I can do that from the UPS display panel but like I said, it's under a desk as it is too loud to be sat next to when the UPS fan is running. I've contacted CyberPower about that as the fan profile is way too aggressive, it kicks in on buck when the unit is stone cold still. I guess I may hear back eventually after the lockdown ends.

You might try to find a different app to get info about the ups, I notice cpuid hwmonitor can give me battery voltage, load % and battery % from my apc 1500.

Interesting, I'll give it a go. Thanks for the tip off

EDIT - the battery is not detected at all by hwmonitor but still it was worth a try. I also tried sisoft SANDRA 2020 but that only sees the voltage and charge state.
