Rossetta only makes use of CPUs unfortunately.

Though there may/will be distributed projects out there that might/could make use of your GPU should you wish … FAH is expanding rapidly to cope and hopefully soon any issues people have not getting WUs for CPUs or GPUs will be a thing of the past.
Not saying it is quite the same thing (as at the moment everyone seems to be pulling for the same cause) but would a Mercedes Dealer suggest to a sudden surge of buyers that they go to Toyota if the didn't have enough stock in? - probably not, they would add the buyer to a wait list and ramp up their supply chain as fast as possible … Yes, I know there are flaws with this comparison but I hope you see the general picture.
Sending people away when new infrastructure and science is being stood up to supply these people might defeat the purpose of all the hard work being invested doing this? ... Some of the organisations supplying the new hosting power/bits of tin might feel it is odd for the team they are helping/investing in to be pushing people away ... All this of course is sheer conjecture on my part as I am just a regular folder and in no way associated with or part of the FAH team.

I didn't realize that it's idle because of a lack of work. Because with my CPU, it said "Ready" (I think - it's currently running a task) but with the GPU, "Paused:waiting for idle". So I assumed that it simple doesn't work.
If it is indeed the case that it would process something if there was work, then it seems like the UI could use improvement in this regard => consistent status messages.
Anyway - thanks.

Lack of work may cover a number of cause ... obligatory link to very detailed information re current situation
viewtopic.php?f=18&t=17794.
... so not as simple as my Mercedes example above - more like the dealers have stock in various places, but having the right spec in the right place, at the right time, with the staff available to finalise, sale, etc.
Ready ... means ready and waiting on WU (for whatever reason)
Running ... means folding
Finishing ... means completing current WU then will pause
Paused ... means paused (iirc with or without WU in progress)
Paused:waiting for idle ... means it has WU (iirc) but is waiting until the system "announces" it is idle before working on it
There may be others ... and I may have got above wrong but I hope not.

The GPU is set to fold when your system is idle. The client uses the OS idle detection to trigger GPU folding. In your case, Windows detects idle when a screensaver comes on. Thus, you can always set a blank screen saver to ensure that your GPU will automatically fold when you're not using the system:

Given that your GPU is a mobile one, just keep an eye on it to ensure that it can successfully fold the WU before the Timeout period

Those a are correct, There's one more state:
Failed... the slot encountered 5 consecutive errors when attempting to fold
