Is that 460 the SE version? if so, it can indeed be outperformed by the 450's.bowlinra wrote:Interesting that GTS 450 is outperforming the GTX 460..
Under core version 2.25, the absolute worst frame time I received on the 7623 with my first generation GTX-460 with 256bit memory bus & 1GB GDDR5 was 9min 38sec (with card at factory clocks of 715 Core / 1430 Shader / 1800 Memory) for a minimum of 7,753.6ppd - average frame time was 9min 16sec for average of 8,060.4ppd, and best frame time was 8min 59sec (with the card overclocked at 825 core / 1650 shader / 2050 memory) for a maximum of 8,314.6ppd. This is with 4WU's completed before Stanford increased the point value of these work units.
If yours is not an SE card, you might want to check it out, make sure fan is opperating correctly, check to see if it's running at 100% utilitzation, etc... cause a non-SE card, even a 768MB variant with reference clocks (next slowest of the 460 cards) should have posted 7,000 - 7,400 ppd on a 7623 WU.
