What should the View button show?

Nobody answered your question about "drivers" yet. A driver is a piece of software written by a hardware manufacturer that becomes part of the operating system for anybody using that hardware. (In your case, that would be Intel.) It probably has been improved since your copy of Windows was originally released. You probably have Windows Update set to install important updates but that may not have installed the update required for good protein visualization. Open Windows Update and search for Optional Updates. If there's one that applies to the Intel HD 3000, install it.

I do not have a video card on this computer. I use Intel HD 3000. When pressed a button View, I see a world map. Inside spinning something dark.

I use HD4000 and it displays Protein: LIVE.. I need to press numbers 1-4 first though because initially it's a black protein.. View modes 5 and above (IIRC) displays a black protein..
