Muchas Gracias

This run has been going for @ 2 hours now - at 60% already - max temps are consistent with prior w/ups. Nowhere near recommended max for this chip. I do notice that this w/u is taking longer per step than usual. My network is not wireless, but if a wired network hiccups will the same problem occur? And do you recommend the network fix outlined in one of the other threads to prevent problems, or should I switch to the new SMP client for my next run?

Will the -forceasm tag also prevent restarted workups from using standard loops, or is the using standard loops text of any significance?

Also - I have been running Everest temp monitoring logs for a while and my max cpu temps are @ 50 C and max individual core temps never get above @ 65 - I am almost certain that my lockups are a motherboard issue - because they happen with almost identical frequency with or without overclocking - but they happen so rarely now that I can't bring myself to rebuild my whole computer just to avoid a once every few months lockup.

Now my Vista64 partition........thats a different story altogether...:)

As long as we're talking about p3065, which is a WU for the SMP client, the answer it that standard loops are never used. The messages need to be removed in the next version. -forceasm does change the messages but the calculations always use optimized code.

Now if we were talking about the classic client or the V6 client without flags like -gpu or -smp, then the -forceasm is useful.

I'm not sure if it helps but my computer (FAH SMP 2653 stable) freezes and BSODs have taken place when I got 3060 for the first time. Up to that point I folded many 2653 and some 305x, but not 3060. I did boost northbridge voltage (MCH on my abit matherboard). From that point I fold almost exclusively 3xxx without any problems (3043, 3050, 3052, 3060, 3062, 3064, 3065).
