NVM you guys are as usual, stuck on trying to be right.
There is no try. We all have the same answer because it's the right answer. You keep saying A4 projects are Uniprocessor work units. They are not UNI any more. All of them are SMP.

And on the previous forum page you said P8014 was a UNI project according to the Project Summary page. Nothing on that PSum page says UNI. It says A4, and A4 is clearly SMP, like we've said all along.

What, if any of that, do you disagree with?

All any of that says to me is PG didn't think things threw "as usual" when they made -smp & hardware limitation changes.
So they left one of there very important project "Uniprocessor" in the dust and had to step up & make changes to allow Uniprocessor to use smp to catch up.
To error is to human. So good luck with trying to cover your mistakes, not everyone is blind to the real facts.
This is the way I see it and nothing you say will change my mind.

All your responses show is that you either have not been keeping up on changes, do not understand the explanations given, or are putting your own interpretation on the "facts". The facts have already been gone over, your interpretation is wrong. To summarize:

A. The A4 core is intended to eventually be a replacement for both the uniprocessor cores such as core 78, and the SMP only A3 core. There are many A4 projects that run quite fine on uniprocessor systems as long as they aren't old, slow P3 or P4 ones. There are also A4 projects that require SMP or a fast single core CPU. The servers can be set to require a minimum SMP level, for instance the server for Projects 7645-7 is at SMP:4.

B. The V7 client can be run without using the GUI.

C. Mistakes may have been made at times, but I don't see any coverups going on. As PG finds out about them, they do adjust things to fix the problem and often post on what was done.

Now 7im probably should have said the A4 WU's are not just UNI any more, but the meaning was fairly obvious.

In any case, you do not appear to want to change your mind, so I am closing this topic and separating it from the original GPU problem.
