Total shots in the dark - Is the user you are using to access the computer doing so via Microsoft remote desktop? Does your motherboard have Lucid virtu?

Other than drivers, I don't see anything that would prevent folding from detecting the video card.

I'm pretty sure I have Virtu disabled on my other rig. But I just got an FX-8150 as a gift from a friend and since I don't have a GPU for it yet I'm using the HD7870. I just added the GPUs.txt to the FAHClient folder and my 7870 works. So it has something to do with my other motherboard or CPU setup it would seem. When I get my HD6670 in the mail I will switch it back to the i5-2500K machine and try to fine-tune the settings and figure it out. Because it is obviously not a problem with the GPU itself. Thanks for the ideas, I appreciate it. I will check back and post my solution mid-week.
