Now for a silly question, are you making these posts from the machine that will fold ? or from the machine that will not fold? Just want to make sure you have internet connectivity on the machine that will not fold.

I'm using my main computer now that I will be using to fold if I can get it to work...

Since you can access the 4 sites without any issues, I am almost out of ideas. Here is my last suggestion (for now):

You can try the latest V7 Beta (viewforum.php?f=67) if you feel comfortable with it. Since you are using Windows, the V7 Beta is fairly stable and during installation, you can select the Uniprocessor Slot which is the equivalent of the v6 F@H Client that you are trying to run. If you have questions about it, feel free to ask and they will be answered.

Latest issue sounds more like a passkey issue. Double check it, those are not capital O's ; they are zeros but you probably already knew that. So double check the value and the length.

Right now you have a single processor ( core ) WorkUnit. You need to add smp to the client.

Sorry about my stupidity but how do I do that??? :?

Edit: Figured it out... Thank you all for everything :)

Sorry AcidD_RaiN, I haven't played with the V7 client just yet. I'm a bit of a "command line" person. And the change will not help you with the current work unit, but should help with followup work units. Hopefully a V7 person will come along shortly. I would think it would just take reruning or changing the config for the slot, but I am not sure about that.

edit:
When I ran the installer, it auto detected the SMP and the GPU client. Exactly what hardware are you running this on? Might be confusion on my part between your 2 machines and your tag line.

Glad to hear that another one is successfully folding. :D

Folding with all 4 cores plus GPU and the heat is not going over 78°C :D

Are you running Windows Firewall or something else like ZoneAlarm? If it's something else, this is most likely a problem of an overly protective firewall program.

I tried disableing the firewall but didn't work but now everything is blooming on both computers. more folding done in 10 hours then the last week so I'm happy :) Now I can concentrate on getting another computer to overclock and run more folding...

Now I have thought. How many threads can I use on my 2700K ? And what adjustments do I put in to use the GPU?

You said you had a GTX 460. Although I'm a lot more comfortable if I've seen the ***SYSTEM*** section from the top of the log (or from the System Info tab, since you seem comfortable posting images) it's probably a simple as clicking the button below GPU on that page and saying OK.
How many threads can I use on my 2700K?
If your system does nothing but folding, you can use all of them. The GPU will steal a little performance from SMP but should more than make up for it in PPD. As you increase the other things you do with the computer, the performance of SMP will cut back rather sharply and at some point it becomes worthwhile to reduce the number of SMP threads somewhat so it can have the unimpeded use of those threads. That point has to be determined experimentally based on your patterns of use. Avoid 7, so cutting back from 8 to 6 will reduce the SMP throughput slightly when the machine is idle, but improved it over what it might have cut back to when the machine is active with other tasks. Since it only has 4 real cores, cutting back doesn't have a big an impact on TPF as you would expect from the changes in CPU%.
