Hmm. It seems to be more of an issue with cores doing enough different things that the performance on the benchmark machine is not necessarily indicative of what goes on in the wild. But of the "Assembly optimizations on", then SSE is indeed on.

Follow-up on my most recent p3866 (Project: 3866 (Run 4066, Clone 0, Gen 5)). I went away on vacation for a few days, leaving the old HP completely alone - just the p3866 and the series of Core 11 GPU WUs that makes the vast majority of points for this computer.

Bottom line - it finished in 5.75 days (out of the preferred 7) getting a few bonus points - awarded 408 points from a base of 333.

Even with the bonus, this is still about the lowest ppd - 70.9 - I've seen on this uniprocessor.

And, when this one finished, it was assigned yet another 3866 - Project: 3866 (Run 589, Clone 0, Gen 6).

Well, the science for this goes on!! If I can succeed folding them in the preferred time, that's OK - but it's pretty fragile to any aux use of this computer.

After discussions, we've decided to raise up the final deadline time, by about 30%, so that should solve some of the problems on this thread. Are not adjusting the preferred deadline time quite yet, or the points. Still evaluating that!
