Well I finally took the plunge and I guess I am a Little thick headed I installed Ubuntu 10.10 and decided to take the easiest route, used the provided Windows installer and ran it alongside Windows which was fairly painless. Of course I do not like reading instructions fully so it only took me 10 hrs. to get FAH to run on it. I must say I was presently surprised at how much faster it is a bigadv folding with the a5 core Windows 7 64bit Project 6901 avg frame time 19:52 Ubuntu 10.10 64bit 17:58 quit a bit of difference there. I can see I have a bit of learning to do when it comes to the OS but I would imagine that I will figure it out eventually. I want to thank everybody for there input and I am sure I will be asking for more in the future. :D

Congrats. There is a growing thread of A5 times over in the bigadv section. They would probably be interested in your Windows - Linux info. Linux is running cores pretty good these days.
