I use a Dell desktop - P3 1ghz with 512mb of ram - running windows 7!

It runs 24/7 folding + our IP cam software (monitors the folding rack). System does about 45 PPD

those are the bare minimum requirements for windows 7 - 1 ghz and 512 ram (it's meant to run on netbooks/etc)

It actually runs pretty smooth, surprisingly
