Didn't know this thread existed; thank you, s12a! I hope you've automated or are otherwise able to continue your project! I've tracked GPUs a little myself:

No, the process isn't automated, I manually check the OS stats page every day and add data to my spreadsheet.
By the way, today the Total TFLOPS value has spiked to a new record thanks to PS3s: 3487 TFLOPS.
Code: Select all
OS Type Current TFLOPS* Active CPUs Total CPUs
Windows 207 217766 2179487
Mac OS X/PowerPC 7 8207 120303
Mac OS X/Intel 23 7472 63572
Linux 58 34348 331992
ATI GPU 460 4183 10102
NVIDIA GPU 1465 13317 29213
PLAYSTATION®3 1267 44941 606285
Total 3487 330234 3340954
Total number of non-Anonymous donators = 1076482

Nice read on the News page about the PS3 optimizations.
I am happy to see Sony improving the machine.

The PS3 update brought some computing power back to the project

Life with Playstation would obviously have to be the reason for the surge in PS3 users.. but i just hope this surge can be sustained.. i've always felt that 100,000 'active' PS3 folders is what i'll be happy with

One of the third party tools might get enhanced to log the client stats automatically as long as it's running. Markybob, the creator of Prion, responded that he might work on it this week. I figure that might make the good work done by s12a and others tracking fah easier!
prion - folding stats & info
ElectricVehicle wrote:Hmmm! Very interesting, An option to log the client stats every time they are updated would be cool for people maintaining the
highwater mark!
...
Check the quoted thread above for more of what I suggested to Markybob and any updates he might give us.

I smell 4 PetaFlops soon! Real Soon Now!
Code: Select all
OS Type Current TFLOPS* Active CPUs Total CPUs
Windows 206 216924 2189793
Mac OS X/PowerPC 6 7451 120580
Mac OS X/Intel 23 7528 64456
Linux 57 33354 333389
ATI GPU 494 4488 11115
NVIDIA GPU 1495 13589 31705
PLAYSTATION®3 1679 59527 619954
Total 3960 342861 3370992
Looks like Pande group needs to get started planning the celebration for 5 PetaFlops! Possibly in the 2-6 month time frame. Life with Playstation definitely woke up the PS3 folders.

Also, combined GPU (ATI+NVidia) processing power is now over 2 PetaFlops: 494+1518=2012 Tflops.
Tomorrow I'll post my weekly updated OS processing power chart.
Looks like Pande group needs to get started planning the celebration for 5 PetaFlops! Possibly in the 2-6 month time frame. Life with Playstation definitely woke up the PS3 folders.
If processing power keeps increasing at this speed, 5 Petaflops could be reached by the end of the first half of October!

I think we'll start loosing some PS3 in few weeks, after the Life with PS3 fashion disappears

Well... it's not too bad... like the Pande group says all contributions are welcome so even a temporary boost is good.
And just maybe we'll get some people folding on other machines after finding out about the project through LWP to help counterbalance the loss of some PS3s...

I'm hoping PS3s don't die down too much.. Please don't slide back to 40k active folders.. i'd like atleast 50k consistently now
