User Can't Change Teams

I have a user who wants to join our team (Team Global Affairs - 79189). He's currently a member of Team Engadget - 39227. He's tried changing the team number on the control panel (graphical client), but it's not taking, for some reason. He still shows up as Team Engadget His username is rowd.

He sent me his log file, but I can't tell what's happening here. Can anyone help me figure this out?

The user name and team # look fine. It's probably the proxy setting that's wrong and not allowing his client to connect to any servers.

I didn't even catch the proxy setting; you're probably right. I'll let him know, and see what happens.

I think what he means is that the points have not been transferred. If that is the case then that is the intended operation of the stats system - if people could just move all of their previously accrued points it would mean teams' totals could go down, which is bad for the competitive edge, particularly if the person is a big folder. As such all points registered to a team by a user must stay with that team. Your user/colleague has to start again at 0 for your team.

I don't think "the control panel (graphical client)" is the way forward. He just needs to change the team number under User in the Configure screen. Right click the icon in the tray.

Sorry for borrowing this thread but why are they reseting your point switching team? Would be a lot better if the client had all his points when he moves from a team.
But that just me, don't know what you guys think.

The points are not reset. If User-A joins Team-B and generates 500 points and then joins Team-C and generates 400 points, you'll find exactly that. User-A has 900 points, consisting of 500 for Team-A and 400 for Team-C. (You do have to look in the UserStats rather than the TeamStats, though.)

The points that have already been donated to Team-B can not be "un-donated" and moved to Team-C. Only new points can go to the new team.
