Hi Razor_FX_II (team 33),
Your WU (P2665 R2 C612 G51) was added to the stats database on 2008-09-22 08:47:41 for 614.88 points of credit.

Hi Razor_FX_II (team 33),
Your WU (P2665 R2 C612 G51) was added to the stats database on 2008-09-23 12:45:50 for 0 points of credit.

It's been submitted twice by the same machine ... so you only get credit for the first result (which was a partial result).

I checked the log further back and you are right that I did send in that unit partially completed due to:

Code: Select all

[15:12:05] Folding@home Core Shutdown: MISSING_WORK_FILES
[15:12:05] Finalizing output
[15:12:08] CoreStatus = 1 (1)
[15:12:08] Client-core communications error: ERROR 0x1
[15:12:08] Deleting current work unit & continuing...
Had to qfix it, and sent it in.. Did not relize that the server reasigned the unit back to me.
Which I previously posted that I had completed at 100% - in which I did.
So I guess all I can say is that sucks.
Hope they are able to use the completed unit instead of the partial unit.

Don't understand why it says that I sent it in again (today) with 0 complete when I have monitored the unit all day and it did complete and was sent in with 100% done.
I watched it get sent in and my log clearly states that it did go in 100% complete.

Duplicates always score 0 points, whether they go to 100% or not.

I see..Ok then. Would you say this was just fluke (getting the wu again when I sent in the partial yesterday)?
Is there something I can do to minimize this in the future?
I usually dont have problems with getting the (deleteing wu) but I forgot to make a back up before shutting down the SMP yesterday for some fan cleaning maintence.
I have noticed that if I shut the SMP DEINO down the recommended way I get this deleating wu error almost always,
and thus have found if I copy the folder before shutting down the cores, then replace the folder entire smp folder with the backup I can avoid this problem.
Again sorry for my mistake in not backing it up first. Was a hecktic day...

When a WU is not completed, it is reassigned and it may be reassigned several times. It will not be reassigned if you have returned a result.

When you run qfix, you can return a result, but if you're already working on a duplicate assignment before you run qfix, you have to check that yourself since the result wasn't ready to upload at that point in time.

Remember this is beta software and there are known bugs. Hopefully this will all be resolved in future updates to the software which should make qfix unnecessary.
