Optimize points or take a chance?
Hello. Frankly, it baffles me how the allocation of WUs on Folding is like a pure casino draw. My old GTX 1080 just grabbed a small unit that pays nothing, whereas it usually scores big. It's like betting on the right number while waiting for the next protein to process—their system is seriously random. I absolutely have to find a trick to force big PPD bonuses without my PC overheating for nothing. Does anyone have a link to a table that compares actual earnings per project?

I've been using a 1070 for years and it is producing between 1.2 and 1.5 million PPD. Your 1080 shouldn't be far from these numbers.
If you see values lower than that, something else is wrong.

There is no earnings per project. All projects usually give similar amount of PPD. PPD is not an earning/payment. Any massive PPD variation you might see, could be attributed to your hardware.Faron wrote: ↑Mon Feb 23, 2026 11:44 am Hello. While project assignment can be viewed as lottery, there is more to it, than meets the eye, and most of the time assignments are not really random
