Hello ,
have since short a pro card W6400 which according to
AMD website has limited support for Ubuntu et.al
it functioned for few weeks but now it does no longer function with FAH (the newer kernel upgrade 6.17.29 fails to build the amdgpu portion > DKMS issue)
if installing just the portion that has been shared in the apposite section here on forum
viewtopic.php?t=43222
sudo apt install rocm-opencl-runtime (select 6.4.3) or (select 7.0.1?)
sudo apt install ocl-icd-opencl-dev
then the card would be supported, however the gpu section would always crash or stall at 0%.
and re-begin to stall anew.
is there a new routine available or should i just hope that the DKMS issue get solved for the AMDGPU PRO driver?
the concerned OS is Ubuntu 24.04. LTS (latest updates applied).
https://www.amd.com/en/support/download ... w6400.html
thank you very much for help and insight.

Re: amdgpu pro card no longer folding
Please post the examples of the crash and on which projects. Also screenshot of the fahclient system info section would help.
I still have RDNA2 GPU folding fine on bleeding edge kernel with latest rocm, so something else is happening down your end.
DKMS should not engage at all, unless you tried downloading and installing the amdgpu-install driver from AMD website. This is not needed, and most of the time brings pain to the user with new kernels
