Newly joined, already had a team under me as creator and other team members.

I searched before making this post and did not see anyone mention my particular issue. So apologies in advanced if I missed previous discussion!

I joined recently with a fresh account to join another team. I took a look at my own profile and saw that I have a team that says I started and there are other members with similar usernames and one with a totally different username. They have folded quite a bit and it says I have contributed one WU. The website connected to the team is offline. I looked up the site details and did not find much. My username could have been used by someone else previously perhaps?

Mostly wondering if I should worry about this or embrace this team that I have stumbled upon and keep it going. I have no way to see who these other team members are or talk to them. I've tried looking around for any mention of this team or the company (seems to be a company name of some kind that relates to my username) and I haven't found anything other than old info. The site connected does say it was created very recently this year and the last update to the site was on the first. Any info greatly appreciated.

Usernames are not unique to the user. Everyone can be called Dave. Your points however will be tied to passkey, which you can request here: https://apps.foldingathome.org/getpasskey
That will make Dave your Dave, and points will count to that Dave.
Also, unless you added team number to your client settings, you are in default Anonymous team.

Click on the team you like and on left hand side you will see team's number. Paste that number in client's settings, and you will start folding for that team
