2 Days of Experience, and doesn't explode!

Hello, im Eloy_Beltran_Beltran, Two days ago I installed two RX570 cards

The first card is 8GB, the overclocked to 1400Mhz at 1060mV, and the memory to 2000Mhz at 950mV. With server fans at full speed, I keep it at 70ºC, the other card is the 4GB pulse itx I have only uploaded it to 1370Mhz at 1090mv (... probably lower the voltage a bit) with the frequency of a memory at 1640Mhz, currently the two cards make me 800,000 points per day.

The CPU is AMD ryzen 5 3600x , is on boinc in rosseta proyect. overclock to 4.1Ghz , at 3200Mhz the memory. The temperature is about 68ºC, in Spain .

The other PC have problems with the RX5700XT, i think quit the drivers of raedon software, and reinstall controller drivers of windows, only updated for windows 10.

For cooling , i recomend fans, Delta Fans of 120mm diameter, at 0.8A to 3500rpm, a lot of noise up to 55dB, muahahah, is a rocket


If someone could help me with the rx5700xt card, I would appreciate it, this card runs like two RX570, and has the clock at 2100Mhz. What do you need to know to make it work in Folding at home?

It should run from the same drivers. OpenCL is needed. You also need to set GPU to 'true' in advanced config.
Personally I would recommend using risers on the GPU, as they usually run quite hot.

FYI, F@H officially doesn't support overclocking due to instability. Thus, you may need to return to stock settings on your GPU if you encounter issues when folding WUs.

Currently I do not have instability problems, what I have is a problem with the graphic controllers supposedly, I have open CL installed, but the server tries to communicate and the client does not recognize me, it tries for port 80 and then for 8080.

Is it trying to connect to something like "192.0.2.1"? If so, that means the GPU is not recognized; the error message could be improved (known issue).

Could you post some logs, especially the first part of the log when you start up the client? Instructions here: viewtopic.php?p=327412&f=24#p327412

In other side, i have a system info, Open CL not detected clGetDeviceIDs() returned -1

I have made it work with the Open CL 1.2 driver by installing the old version of the AMD driver software from August 2019, but only run at 600mhz 30%, i reinstall no the ultimate versión , i reinstall versión of may 2020, the folding at home detect compute:1.2 driver3004.8, now is unestable becasuse the frequency up and down, the target no have overclock, was unnestable because boinc kill the gpu, now the graphic card make 1.050.000 ppd. In other hand, the fans runs to 3500rpm/60= 58.8Hz x 8 leaves =466hz tone of sound, for acoustic isolation i recommend poliuretano pannel. have high absortion coeficient in this frecuencies. In other hand, the frecuency of memory are not effect in the Points per day, the frecuency of the Core, yes, i suppose more rapid.
