Sapphire HD5770

Post by SK4ndal »

Hey All.

Since I am new here I don't know to what degree things get fixed at server side.

My problem:

I run Windows 10 with a I5-6600K
I have a system with a GTX 1070 ti (overclocked to 2000mhz) and a Sapphire HD 5770 (no overclock, yet).
The 1070ti is receiving work, but the Sapphire HD 5770 isn't.

I have this version of the HD 5770. https://www.newegg.com/sapphire-radeon- ... 6814102873
I checked the list with GPUs that are supported and the HD 5770 is supported.
GPU-Z shows that it is compatible with OpenCL 1.2. http://gpuz.techpowerup.com/20/03/23/3yc.png

The log shows:

Code: Select all

12:21:49:WU02:FS02:Connecting to 65.254.110.245:8080
12:21:50:WU02:FS02:Assigned to work server 192.0.2.1

After some browsing I found this post:
viewtopic.php?f=81&t=32042
It seems that it ws either a problem with the redirecting to a wrong server of some sort or it had to do with the OS. Since I am working from windows this shouldnt be a problem.

Please help. Thanks for taking the time.

Your's faithfully,

The HD 5770 is not supported.
It lacks Double Precision floating point math. F@H is all about math.

Earliest Radeon HD cards supported are from the HD 5800 and HD 6900 series. For later series, card needs to be based on GCN instead of Terascale, Wikipedia has an article "List of AMD graphics processing units" that is useful for checking.

Oh my bad. I think I checked an outdated list at a git instead of the most recent official version.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.
