My computer has 584942417355.07 years to complete this work
Hello, I have problems with folding - a few quests went well, but now, there is still 0,0% completed, and there is this saying: "My computer has 584942417355.07 years to complete this work unit." Which is nonsense, like lets wait a few hundred billions years? When I stop the folding and start again, after a while, it is the re again... Please help.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I wouldn't worry about that too much. When you first start a workunit, the software will struggle to estimate the ETA until the progress reaches 1%. After that, there's finally a marker for how much it has completed and of course it knows how long it has taken, so then the ETA calculation is easy. But between 0 and 1%, sometimes it doesn't know the exact amount of progress and thus throws wild numbers out for a bit. Just leave everything running and it should settle out.

F@h is now the top computing platform on the planet and nothing unites people like a dedicated fight against a common enemy. This virus affects all of us. Lets end it together.

Where do you see the due date/time?

Really easiest way to monitor details is to use the Advanced Control Setting, from here you can view progress and configure setting. On Windows it on the right side task bar click on F@H molecule icon and select from menu. As mentioned above the system has difficulty in the first few steps calculating how quickly you can do this, this settles down after 3 or 4 steps.ilhaguru wrote:Where do you see the due date/time?

Funny as this is like distributed computing started. At first they had one computer and it says it takes 1 billion years to complete the work. Then computers got faster 1000 times and they had 1 million computers - and now the work can be completed this year.

Thank you, but it seems that the problem lasts In addition I'm not able to open the Advanced control - I see it on the menu, but when I click on it - nothing happens, double click - nothing, right click - nothing .
Now I noticed that the .exe file which appears when I open the FaH, has an Error on its last line - "iostream stream error: access denied." Any advice?
