I first set up FAH on my Android HTC phone, and then put it on my Dell laptop (Windows 8.1). Now I think I have two separate accounts, but I'm not sure, because in the Android version, there is no information given that I can find.
I'd like to have one account, and have the work done on the Android and the laptop both count on that one account. Is there some way to merge them?
I'm a totally green newbie beginner at this, so please pardon my ignorance. How would one go about that? Since I haven't done a ton of work yet, I could uninstall and reinstall the Android version, even if it means losing credit for the work done so far, if there's a way to put it under the same account that I've just created on the laptop.
Both of them seem to be working fine, other than the phone heating up a good bit, but I plan to replace this phone very soon anyway. Haven't decided whether to stay with Android or get an iPhone. Is FAH ever likely to have a version for iPhone?
Thanks,
Bonnie

Re: Two accounts?
The Android client was developed by Sony under contract to Folding@home administration. The client currently doesn't support the Stanford stats system although that feature has been requested many times. Future development plans have not been announced, so for now, yes, you do have two accounts.
The possibility of a future iPhone client is also unknown.
If you read the discussions in the Android forum you'll find interesting discussions plus a statement referring suggestions to Sony. The same is true in the Reddit for Asking FAH anything]

Re: Two accounts?
Thanks so much! Great answer! Very helpful, though the situation isn't ideal. I'll work with each as a separate entity.
Re: Two accounts?
Hello, I just joined the forum to enquire about the same problem. Hoping this will be solved soon. Keep up the great work!
Re: Two accounts?
If you look at what I said earler, I said nothing suggesting that it might be solved soon. In fact, I know nothing about that.moontan wrote:Hoping this will be solved soon.
What I do know is that Stanford does have an immense backlong of "it would be nice if...." suggestions. They're actively looking to increase the size of their development staff. Combine those two thoughts and there's a pretty good chance "soon" will not be a word that either of us should be using. I certainly wouldn't get my hopes up.
Recently Vijay Pande posted a year-end summary. https://folding.stanford.edu/home/2015-achievements/ You'll note that he emphasizes that he is really interested in scientific improvements. In fact, the science achieved by running clients on two independent points systems will get exactly the same amount of good science done as if they were running on the same points system. Once again, don't get your hopes up.
