Moving to new replacement system while keeping stats, etc
I am transitioning to a new dual core Intel system under XP. It isn't clear to me how I transfer my 'stuff' to the new system (current partially completed task, userID/team/stats). Didn't see any guidance elsewhere. Can you help
Re: Moving to new replacement system while keeping stats, etc
Depends on the client that you were using on the old system. Do a search on sneakernetting here in the forum, and also in the FAHWIKI (link at top of page).
To keep your userID, you would need to export the Pande Group registry entry from the old system, and import it to the new system. But it is not necessary. It will just assign you a new one with the new system.
As for keeping stats, as long as you use the same donor name and team #, your stats will continue to go to the same place.
Again the client version that you are using would be helpful.

To avoid any misunderstanding, I just want to point out that UserID is not the same as UserName. The UserName is the one that you picked for yourself and your stats are accumulated under that name. You do want to keep the same UserName. The UserID is assigned by Stanford, and is not related to the points you'll earn.
