Combining Stats?

Post by SpaceDog »

I'm running FAH on my PS3 and my laptop as SpaceDog for blu-ray.com team. Both units report their WU stats independently. Is there a way to combine them? If so I'd also like to do the same on my mac.

If they all fold under the same username and team then the stats should all show up on the same page... is that not happening at the moment?
Folding whatever I'm sent since March 2006 :) Beta testing since October 2006. www.FAH-Addict.net Administrator since August 2009.

If you mean that each machine displays only its own stats, that's typical. To display combined stats each machine would have to query the Stanford server, download the other machines' updates and combine them with its own each time you wanted to view your stats. Imagine the load on the Stanford stats servers! That's why it's not done.

If you mean that you need to access two different stats pages at Stanford in order to view all your stats, that means that you have two different userIDs. Typically this happens when someone enrolls some machines under an ID which is an email address (e.g. spacedog@ALargeISP.com) and other machines under only the userID part of the name (e.g. spacedog). Since Stanford doesn't display the @ sign or anything after it (preserving your email privacy) the two accounts will look the same in display but are actually different.

I suggest that you try the Extreme OC stats or Kakao stats in the link in the big blue bar at the top of the page. For example your EOC stats page is

http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/ ... =&u=339583

The third party stats services can't see the @ sign or anything beyond it, so they automatically combine accounts structured as above.

Oh yeah, one more thing - Get that Mac folding! :) :) (If it's a laptop, read up on thermal control and the network dropout bug first, ok?)
