Folding@Home Community Service Hours

Post by steelsoldat »

Is there any way I could get community service hours for folding?(Like the hours used in schools?)
I can understand if that is not possible, however I would be glad to have some kind of reward for folding.

Welcome to the F@H Forum steelsoldat,

AFAIK, officially you can't really convert any of the F@H points into community service hours or any other rewards. However, some sites may provide service(s) or reward(s) for earning a certain amount of F@H points.

It has been a few years since this question has been asked, but the bottom line is that YOU have to perform the required community service hours, not your computer.

unlikely, community service hours are for people hours, not computer time.

I suppose that if you physically went to their lab and worked in their lab then perhaps someone there could sign a community service form indicating hours served but short of something like that I just don't see how it would work.
