Problem with new netbook....

Post by panthro1971-2 »

Hello again....I got a HP mini donated to me. First thing after setup I wanted to run the Folding software. I tried the 7.1.x and 7.3.x clients to no avail. The software installs just fine. But when seeing the log, they cant connect to any work server. I even let the netbook on for 24 hours and nothing happens.... .... :? . Seems like an endless stuck state.... :( .... :x

Can someone help me with this problem? Or give me some pointers? I am using Windows 8.1, if that is relevant.....Thanks in advance for any help.....

Hello and thanks for the kind answers. Also I am sorry for the delayed answer....

Before I read your answers, I donwloaded and installed the 7.4.0 beta client. Seems to fix my problems...... :D

And yes, I was able to browse the Internet. And use the NOD 32 Antivirus software, version 7.0 Home User edition.

Thanks again for the answers.....!

NOD 32 is known to block fah. At some point you may need to exclude fah from the scans and/or add fah to the list to allow internet communications.
