Does Running Folding with YouTube Slow YouTube Down?
If so, is there a way to automatically stop Folding from running while streaming?
Thx

Depends on your video card, browser type, using 3D acceleration? Maybe yes, maybe no.
There is no "pause while streaming" setting. But you can set the GPU to fold only when the PC is idle which is about the same.

How to provide enough information to get helpful support

Re: Does Running Folding with YouTube Slow YouTube Down?
thx, but I didn't find a Help section that describes how to set the GPU to fold only when the PC is idle--
can you describe how I can do this?
BTW, Folding is on my desktop computer but I usually run Youtube on the same internet connection/network but on other devices--
so although my desktop may be idle, I don't want the collective internet connection to suffer for other non-idle devices.
IS there a similar setting that takes this scenario into account?
Thx

Open either of the F@h control programs (Web Control or FAHControl/Advanced Control). There should be a power slider. Setting it to Medium (or lower) will make the GPU only fold when the computer is idle.
F@h won't affect any other devices. The only time the client uses your internet connection is when it's uploading finished work and downloading new work, and neither transfer is all that large, usually 15 MB at most. The computer that's folding will be affected only in terms of the GPU possibly struggling to render the video and fold concurrently, as GPUs don't have any sort of optimal scheduling like CPUs do.
