can't get folding working at all...
installed, ran the client, and it does nothing. cpu is being utilized 100% but it isn't progressing. ETA says unknown all the time. it recognizes my dual 7950s and when i switch to full it says its running, but the gpu isn't being used at all and just like the cpu, it always says eta unknown. any insight?

Folding logs would be useful for diagnosis.
I predict that folding on your GPU's is interfering with CPU folding. Currently, each 7950 requires a full CPU core all on its own so you may wish to configure the CPU slot to use two less than all of your cores. You can do that with the Advanced Control: Click configure then go to the slot tab and double click the CPU slot. You can then explicitly specify the number of cores/threads used.
For AMD video cards the latest working driver is 12.8 for folding conventional WU's. Newer drivers run at a fraction of the cards potential. You will need a driver cleaner to revert to an older driver. As an alternative, you can try the beta core_17 by joining the beta team and accepting all the duties and responsibilities that entails. It works much better with the newer AMD drivers and doesn't use a full CPU core for every AMD GPU.
