Yes, but not with the Web Client that you're probably using.

FAH has two client interfaces. One is designed to be absolutely simple with very limited options (and that's not one of them). The other user interface is complex with full control over all features. We don't like to recommend that you use both of them, but in this case it may be necessary.

Go to the All_Programs menu and open the "FAHClient" folder. Start "FAHControl"

At the top of the screen, press "Configure" + the "slots" tab. In the main part of that screen, choose "cpu" if it's not already hilighted and then "Edit" at the bottom. Near the bottom of the screen "Configure folding slot" you'll see "Extra slot options (expert only)" and below that, an "Add" button. In "Name:" enter pause-on-start and in the "Value" enter true. Click "OK" / "OK" / "Save"

In the middle of the screen, you'll see the familiar display showing two progress bars (well, more like four of them). The top two are for the GPU and for the CPU. Right-click on the CPU and select "Finish" Then wait many hours for the active WU to finish and the "Running" to change to "Paused"

Please post your log including the beginning section that shows the System information and configuration. If it is too large, you can clip out pieces in the middle. Include the end portion that shows the system not folding while idle and the most recent configuration change recorded in the log.

http://folding.stanford.edu/English/V7- ... tion#ntoc3:
The software uses several different methods for determining if the system is idle. In Windows, if there's no user input on the mouse or keyboard for a while (the exact timing depends on the system's configuration) the FAH screensaver can activate, the power management settings can turn off the monitor, or Windows can decide that it's in "away mode", whichever comes first. In Mac OS X, the system is idle if there's no user activity for around five minutes. In Linux, the screensaver and a lack of user input are used to determine idleness.
One of these things should have happened.

Is your laptop configured for maximum performance or does it go into sleep/hibernate to save power? V7 is expected to disable the sleep function so that it keeps folding when it's idle. The log may help us discover that.

You might not need to use the HP drivers. In many cases, downloading new drivers directly from the GPU manufacturer will work correctly. In a few cases it may not, so be sure that both sets of drivers are downloaded to your machine so you can easily revert to the other set if something goes wrong.

Unfortunately, I can't be 100% sure. The case/mobo I linked to in my previous posts were the closest matches when I googled the case/mobo info you gave, but they weren't exact matches. So you'd still better double check the exact make and model of your case and mobo. The motherboard manual should tell you whether the mobo has 4pin or 3pin fan headers, and how many there are. Just about every ATX / microATX case has mounting holes for standard 120mm fans, so that should be a safe bet.

If you have a Cooler Master case, you may want to stick with the brand, but that's hardly essential. THG has a case cooling tutorial, http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/coo ... ,3058.html may have some helpful info for you.
