Error when starting FAH GPU Tracker V2

Post by Distortiontm »

Hello!

I am brand new to folding, and I've just recently downloaded FAH_GPU_Tracker_V2 to help me start. I configured everything according to the startup guide on their website, but when I hit "Start CPU", it fails to obtain any project data and just keeps restarting. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated, as I would really like to start supporting the F@h effort!

Wouldn't it be better to ask your support question on the FAH GPU Tracker 2 support forum?

I'm not sure when the last time that program has been updated but several people on my own team have said they haven't been able to get WUs with that program.

The official FAH v7 should work for you.

Like I said. I'm the definition of n00b when it comes to folding. I deleted GPU Tracker and installed FAH v7. After a bit of startup lag it seems to be running smooth now!

One question: is there a way set preferences so that it doesn't run when I am using my computer, or at least run in a lower state?

Thanks all!

Which version of v7? The newest v7.3.4 defaults to GPU folding only when idle. If that isn't sufficient, just move the slider one notch to the left.

7.3.4 is not offically released to the homepage yet. It's in beta, available here: viewtopic.php?f=87&t=23656 if you are interested in trying it out.
