Forum keeps logging me out

Is it just me, or are others experiencing this: For the last few days, I get logged off of the forum several times a day. I am used to having an Internet Explorer window open all the time, and rarely ever need to log in. Even though I have been checking the "Log me in automatically " feature, I seem to get logged out and have to reenter the passoword.

Could there be some more aggressive cookie management going on with Internet explorer since I activated "do not track" in the browser?

System: Win 7 Home Premium running Internet Explorer 9. All current Microsoft updates. Microsoft Security Essentials virus/spam tools.

Why do I get logged off automatically?
If you do not check the Log me in automatically box when you login, the board will only keep you logged in for a preset time. This prevents misuse of your account by anyone else. To stay logged in, check the box during login. This is not recommended if you access the board from a shared computer, e.g. library, internet cafe, university computer lab, etc. If you do not see this checkbox, it means the board administrator has disabled this feature.

That's weird since I use FF 8 with don't track and remember me and it works perfectly even after system reboots

I suggest that you logout, clear the cookies and then log back in and see if that works.

My gut feeling tells me it's IE, but maybe I'm just biased since I shunned it from the very beginning for various reasons. But I used to have that issue a lot on other websites/forums with Firefox too, and I just couldn't put my finger on what was causing those cookies to disappear.
Haven't had that happen on Chrome yet for the past 2-odd years, even after 3 months of not using my computer at home.

Either way, should that problem persist, try a different browser to see whether it has the same problem?

Its probably the do not track feature, yes. I suspect that it does something odd to cookies even when you leave it running (as opposed to simply deleting them when you close the browser), which means you probably get logged out every 3 hours or so, as I think that it the default forum timeout.
