symantec on the computer. and the built-in stuff in the router and modem that block icmp/telnet and a couple other protocols.
And ive turned them off when the F@H program is on. But it makes no difference.

Re: 171.67.108.33 - Not uploading WU's
Recent products from Symantec do contain a firewall which blocks unapproved programs from uploading results. Have you created an exception that permits the FAH program from contacting the internet?

first i disabled it....
and when i turned it back on.
and looked in the applications list. It was marked with an allow check, and not a block/deny check.

when the FAH program is running, all the applications listed all show allow.

Re: 171.67.108.33 - Not uploading WU's
From your last log:
shows that there's nothing to be uploaded, at that point, as does the queueinfo data shown a little later.
Project: 6882 (Run 221, Clone 8, Gen 5) is then starting but not finished during the log that you posted. At least for that segment, there's nothing wrong.
The graphs on your photobucket screenshot do not show any appreciable network traffic. How about getting to the point where something is TRYING to upload something and capture the information from both the log and in the screenshot.
Code: Select all
[17:47:10] Trying to send all finished work units
[17:47:10] + No unsent completed units remaining.
[17:47:10] - Autosend completed

Both the spikes on the bottom left graph are uploads from the FAH program. you can see ZERO has been blocked in the outgoing category.
and 238KB has uploaded (mere seconds after i restarted the program)

Re: 171.67.108.33 - Not uploading WU's
Please change your configuration settings. There's a size setting that can be Small/Normal/Big. Change it to Big. This won't help with the current WU but hopefully it will prevent future problems.

Re: 171.67.108.33 - Not uploading WU's
you talking about the "allow receipt of assignments and return of results greater than 10MB"?
I thought that was to allow getting WU's that require lots of memory...?

Re: 171.67.108.33 - Not uploading WU's
Yes, that is what he is talking about.
No, that setting is the size of the WU, not memory size usage. Most WUs are normal or big these days. The setting really only applies if you're using 56kb dial-up modem.
Here is a FAH WIKI document that talks about reconfiguring the client. It does a decent job of explaining what all of the settings mean.

I unchecked it.
Re: 171.67.108.33 - Not uploading WU's
If the upload fails again, please go to the WORK folder and let us know the size of a file called wuresults_xx.dat, where xx is the slot number of the WU.
