FAH-Addict EN looks to expand [new contributors wanted]

FAH-Addict EN wishes to recruit one (or maybe more ) contributors for articles, tutorials and/or news to the site. Unlike with the previous recruitment process for an administrator, this post is just to be a contributor and also does not require any knowledge of French. If you have a decent grounding of French this will of course be a bonus but not having it will not negatively affect your application.

Applicants should:

• have time to dedicate to the site
• be a fluent speaker of English
• have good knowledge of FAH and a good general knowledge of IT
• have an IM account (must be on the MSN/Windows Live Messenger network)

Hi, v00d00!

The article can be on any advancement in the Folding@Home project, or technologies that can affect folding performance, such as new graphics cards, processors, etc. Doesn't have to be huge; it's more a news story than an article, per se.

As for 'full time', the job really doesn't demand specific hours; it's quite flexible. If you decide you'd like to continue contributing, we can probably work something suitable out

Your existing staff seems to be doing quite well so far. It would be hard for anyone to scoop a new News story on a Forum SuperMod. And you already have several hardware geeks writing for you.

I'm sure if someone has more to add, they will speak up... as voodoo did.

I might even write a gummy bear followup to that gumball post, and start a candy analogy anthology.

Someone should do a writeup of how the new v3.x VM Player can run 8 processors, so VMs can now run -bigadv WUs.

Yes, but we might need to ask for permission to reuse the current tutorial ... we opened a Wiki module, so anyone who wishes to contribute can ... just tell us if you don't have the right permissions

(Some examples on FR Wiki : setup the GPU2 client on linux ... create a launcher for the GPU2 client on linux ...)

Why write that on FR WIKI instead of FAH WIKI?

Because the FR wiki is in french and its contributors are french speakers It will be duly translated and added to the EN wiki and FAH wiki.
