I can read the pretty little sign that shows they are doing a special stats update and it is expected to take 24 hours. The stats page tells us to go here or the typepad page. When I try to find anything about it on the Typepad page, here or twitter, there is nothing listed in these areas. Does anyone know what exactly is being done?
Thanks,
BW

Re: Special Stats Update
I'm just guessing in the absence of an official explanation but I think it's got something to do with some missing credits from when a GPU server crashed hard. There are a few mentions of it in Dr Pande's blog(see NEWS link at top of page) and also in the following thread:

Re: Special Stats Update
It was undergoing maintenance, but it was completed last night while we're sleeping. I've turned it back on.

Re: Special Stats Update
Thank you Dr. Pande. Glad to hear that it was not a break/fix issue.
Have a good day.

So if we're still missing WU's from several days ago, is it safe to say those WU's were lost forever and will have to be re-run?VijayPande wrote:It was undergoing maintenance, but it was completed last night while we're sleeping. I've turned it back on.

Re: Special Stats Update
Only very rarely. More often than not, missing credits are only missing credits and not missing work units. But unless you post PRCG numbers, there is no way for anyone to check either way.AZBrandon wrote:So if we're still missing WU's from several days ago, is it safe to say those WU's were lost forever and will have to be re-run?VijayPande wrote:It was undergoing maintenance, but it was completed last night while we're sleeping. Re: Special Stats Update
Actually I have them posted in my post in the missing WU's thread but considering it was only a grand total of maybe 24-36 hours of WU's, I'm not sure it matters that much. A bummer, yes, but I lost 10 whole days last month due to a power outage while I was out of town, so in comparison, this loss was very minor!7im wrote:But unless you post PRCG numbers, there is no way for anyone to check either way.

Thanks for post a link back to that data. It helps so PG doesn't have to chase it down.
