trust me, i don't plan on folding on my laptop. That's what my 3.6ghz c2d and gtx 260 + 8800gts is for.

also i hope to move up to a gtx480 next year.

the asus one i found (listed above) has switchable graphics (yay!) and supposedly gets 10 hours idle, 8 hours regular use (who knows what that means...)

i figure when i get it, i'll just stick a 60gb ssd in and that will make a hell of a difference in speed and battery... won't hold much though...

I'm going off to college this fall, and I want a laptop with the following specs: at least 2.13GHz (core 2 duo or core i3) 4gb of ram (no more, no less) at least 320gb HDD at least 9 cell battery!!!! I need more than 8 hours of life! dedicated gpu, but nothing fancy, i only need one of the following...

I wonder is someday they'll produce drugs for the military that block out pain but have no other effects (like morphine etc.)

Thanks John, that's what i had it set to, just wanted to make sure. I am able to run disk cleaner. it worked fine. New development though. I contacted microsoft support and they told me to re-enable all services that i had manually disabled (how did they know i had done that? i only disable network ...

Lately my vista (32bit SP2) computer has been booting slowly. Under System properties -> performance -> advanced tools, it tells me a program is causing the computer to boot slowly. it tells me that program is cleanmgr.exe which i know is the disk cleaner program. I can't find any evidence in msconf...
